Nothing is more Australian than the  Anzac Biscuit and it comes with quite a history. The first printed 'Anzac biscuit' recipe has been attributed  to a 1917 Australian publication called the War Chest Cookery Book.

The biscuit then called the tack biscuit or soldiers' biscuit became popular food to send to Australia's overseas forces. Anzac Biscuit wasn't called this before 1915 because that's when the acronym came in after Gallipoli.
